This is the soundtrack to Dominic Brunt's film 'Before Dawn' and here's a bit about how it came about…

I used to work in the script department on Emmerdale where Dom works (he plays the vet called Paddy Kirk) and I used to sort the script changes out for all the cast and that kind of thing. One of the guys who works in post production came into the office one day and said that Dom is making a film and was looking for a composer, and recommended I drop him an email and put myself forward to the job. Turned out that he already had a mate doing the music, so I left it at that, but I was pretty gutted I didn't get there sooner. Anyway, I left Emmerdale and moved to Manchester with my best bud Gavin and forgot about the film. I was sat in the studio tinkering with some kit one afternoon when I got a phone call from Dom saying that 'it didn't work out with the original composer and would I like to take a shot at it?'. He sent me over a scene and the script, and I spent a night recording guitars and piano for him. He was really into the sounds and so I started working on the full thing, and for the next month or so it was all I thought about and worked on…

It's a zombie film, but it has this massive pulsing love story in there too, especially seeing as the two main actors are married in real life. Even though there's a zombie apocalypse going on outside the house they're in it's a test to their relationship whether they can hold things together until the morning comes (hence the title)...
