My good friend Stephen Buckley aka the fantastic Polypores suggested it would be interesting to hear some of my Sulk Rooms music without any audio fx processing, so that you can hear how raw each sound would be at the start of when I compose a track.

When I'm writing for a Sulk Rooms release I tend to use basic sounds that are then processed and manipulated many times through audio fx to make something that's expansive and modulating. The end results can be completely different to how things started and it's quite a long and time consuming process.

For this two track release I've included the original version of the track 'Illusion' and also a version where I've muted all audio fx on each sound, so you can get an idea of what impact reverb, distortion and filter fx have on my music and how I use them to shape certain tones.
