Here's a follow up to the first 'Colder Affinities' EP and seven more tracks from my Winter Son alias.

Winter Son was a project I started back in 2013 and was my first proper solo music outing other than making soundtracks as Thomas Ragsdale. I took a lot of influence from the likes of Omar S and Luke Hess, and produced a lot of music with my buddy Jozef K (who is absolutely worth checking out if you haven't done so yet). We played live and DJ'd together quite a lot warming up for Sasha, A Guy Called Gerald and other house and techno legends. For me, this music was all about having fun and making tracks for clubs.

One of my favourite ever tracks that I've been involved with is the Kim Ann Foxman remix in this EP - Kim is someone I've always had mountains of respect and admiration for and to have her remix a track was an incredible experience. 'Tribal Rhythm' is also available on vinyl too.

REALLY wish I'd subscribed sooner to be able to enjoy this on vinyl! Curious the artist cited 12 Monkeys and not La Jetee as one of the key inspirations. For me, this has a more somber, introspective and timeless feel more akin to La Jetee than 12 Monkeys (though I also am a big fan of Terry Gilliam). Gorgeous music and you get the bonus of a list of excellent movies to enjoy (another note to the artist: Time Crimes is also a good film to watch). Now to somehow procure a vinyl copy...
